The Town of Webb Union Free School District has announced that principal Rex Germer will be the district’s new superintendent.

Germer is a graduate of Webb school and will take over for Don Gooley Feb. 1.

During the past several months the board of education has spent many hours on the search for a new superintendent. The board says they appreciate the time that the faculty, staff, students and community devoted to participating in the interview sessions for the three candidates. The comments provided by each group were helpful as they worked toward a decision.

In a press release announcing the appointment, board members expressed best wishes to Germer and Gooley.
