Inlet’s annual Frozen Fire and Lights makes a return

The Town of Inlet is getting ready for a weekend of bonfires, fireworks and family fun on Saturday, Feb. 25.

A bonfire will start blazing at Fern Park around 10 a.m. there will be free sledding hill, ice-skating rink, snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails.  You must bring your own sled. Ice skates, snowshoes and cross-country skis are available to rent locally.

The Inlet Public Library will host a Book Sale from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.  

Returning for the second time will be the Cardboard Sled Race at Fern Park that begins at 1 p.m.

The Inlet Youth Commission will have a Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop at the Inlet Town Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. Make your own stuffed animal and create memories to last a lifetime.

The fun moves to Arrowhead Park at 5 p.m. with a much larger bonfire and more free treats and hot dogs.

The first-ever Kazoo Band Concert performed by you will begin at 6:30 p.m. around the bonfire. Get your kazoo now from the Inlet Information Office so you can practice.

There will be a spectacular display of fireworks over the snow and ice at 7 p.m.

After the fireworks stroll on over to Matt’s Draft House at Screamen Eagle for wine and chocolate samplings.
