Community pride on tap

Community Pride Day is Wednesday, May 2. This annual event gets residents and visitors out and sprucing up the town after the long winter.

Town of Webb residents and visitors can stop by the Old Forge Visitor Info Center starting at 8 a.m. to pick up cleaning supplies and sign up for designated areas. All volunteers will receive garbage bags, gloves and a free t-shirt, while supplies last.  

There will also be a lunch for volunteers at the Old Forge Fire Department starting at 11:30 a.m. Food and beverages provided by Adirondack Cafe, Walt’s Diner, Randy’s Chicken, Ozzie’s Coffee Bar, Kinney’s Drugs and DiOrio’s Supermarket.    

Check in 9 a.m. at the following locations to sign up for a section of roadway and pick up your shirt, trash bags and rubber gloves (work gloves recommended), and also to find out when and where to show up for lunch.

Inlet area—Inlet Information Office

Eagle Bay and Big Moose—Eagle Bay Fire Hall

Long Lake—Mt. Sabatis Greiger Arena

Raquette Lake—Raquette Lake Tap Room

Indian Lake—Indian Town Hall
