Quilt being raffled

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 - Updated: 12:48 PM

The Town of Webb Historical Association is displaying a queen size log cabin quilt at the Goodsell Museum, 2993 State Route 28. The quilt will be raffled off to support the Goodsell Museum. This original quilt was designed by the Pointed Pine Quilters.

The design for the Goodsell Museum’s quilt honors the mission of the museum; the preservation of regional history and the beauty of the natural woodlands. The block pattern used is the log cabin, representing the settlement of the area by early pioneers. Within each block a flame red center square represents the hearth of the home. This quilt is called “Adirondack Trails.”

Tickets for the raffle are $2 each or 3 for $5. They are available at Adirondack Reader and Black Bear Trading Post in Inlet; Drake’s Otter Station in Otter Lake; Old Forge Hardware, Wilderness Interiors, Over the Moon Salon, Community Bank and of course the Goodsell Museum in Old Forge.

The drawing will be held at the Historical Association’s Victorian Tea on Aug. 15, at the Thendara Town Hall For more information call (315) 369-3838 or visit our website at www.webbhistory.org.
