For the Express

In the latest of the post-season track awards, it was recently learned that 2012 Town of Webb graduate Connor Rock-hill was named to the Boys All-CNY Outdoor Track Team.

This honor incorporates a large section of the state and includes all schools from Class D to Class AA.  Rockhill was selected to the indoor team earlier in the year, but this is even a more impressive honor as the outdoor season is more competitive than the indoor season. Over 100 schools are involved in the section.

Rockhill, who cleared 14’ in the pole vault at the state championships to take home a third place medal, hopes to improve upon this height at St. Lawrence University next year. The amazing thing about his fine record breaking year is that he had no chance to practice his specialized event here in Old Forge due to the lack of facilities. His only training opportunities came in the form of competing at meets.
