Austin Michael Cheffins

Austin Michael Cheffins was born Oct. 5, 2011, and earned his angel wings on Dec. 14, 2011. Born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, he lived his whole life at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, Ohio. He was truly a little fighter.
Austin is survived by his parents, Michael and Rachel Cheffins of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; (Michael is formerly from Old Forge and a graduate of Town of Webb) his twin brother Brandon; big sister Ashley; grandparents Allen and Barb Spaulding of Kent, Ohio; and  Ralph and Donna Greco of Old Forge; great-grandmother, Leona Alexander of Fla.; as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.  Austin was preceded in death by his grandfather Roy Cheffins.
Services celebrating his short life were held Dec. 22, in Ravenna, Ohio, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home.
Donations may be made in Austin’s memory to the Heart Center at Akron Children’s Hospital.
