Peter Hadley
November 15, 2011


Peter Starr Hadley, 83, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Wallingford, Conn.   
Born in Manhattan in 1928, Peter was a 1949 graduate of Harvard University and was awarded an MBA from Columbia University. He was a Korean War veteran, honorably discharged from the Army. Until October, Peter resided in Greenwich, Conn. for 29 years. He was also a long-time resident of Inlet. He was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 37 years, serving as Treasurer before being promoted to Senior Vice-President of Corporate Investments. Peter was an avid hiker who traversed large portions of the Appalachian Trail. He climbed all 47 of the White Mountains as well as many in his beloved Adirondacks.
Peter was predeceased by his first wife, Patra Dawson Hadley and his step-grandson, Julian A. Ulloa. He is survived by his wife, Nancy E. Hadley; daughter Patra Starr Hadley of Glenview, Ill.; son Clifton Starr Hadley (Susan) of Flanders, NJ; step-son Alexander Ulloa (Donna) of Marlborough, Conn.; granddaughter Allison M. Hadley and step-grandson Michael A. Ulloa; sister Caroline Starr Wood of Croton-on-Hudson, NY. and brother Charles Starr Hadley (Sally) of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; brother-in-law Richard Boner and sister-in-law Susan Pryor of Austin, Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mr. Hadley’s life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. at the Hartog Center at Ashlar Village, Ashlar Village Road in Wallingford, Conn. (www.ashlarvillage.org). Bert T. Boyson, DC
November 18, 2011


Bert T. Boyson, DC, 85, of North Syracuse and Old Forge passed away Friday. Born in Rome, he was a WWII veteran serving in the Marine Corps. He graduated from Logan Chiropractic College in 1952 and practiced in North Syracuse. He is predeceased by his wife, Jean in 1986.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathryn (Bill) Bennett and Sandra (Pete Pazer) Wilkins; sons, Jim, and Scott (Melissa) Boyson; ten grandchildren; sister, Jane Curtis; brother, Herbert Boyson.
Services will be Tuesday, 7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse. Burial will be Wednesday at Rome Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
