Town of Inlet Police Department

Inlet Police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Route 28 in the Town of Inlet on Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. A vehicle driven by Monica Maiese, 60, of Souderton, Pa. was headed south when she lost control and went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned. Wires from the pole came to rest on the vehicle and the occupants had to stay in the vehicle until National Grid arrived to shut off the power. They were transported to a Utica hospital by Inlet Ambulance. Inlet, Eagle Bay, and Raquette Lake fire departments responded along with the Town of Webb Police.
