Roast pork dinner to be held at school

The Webb Way will be sponsoring a roast pork dinner, as a fundraiser for the school wide reward program, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the school cafeteria. The menu will include roast pork, mashed potatoes, vegetable, roll, beverage, and dessert. †

The cost will be $7 for adults and $5 for children age 8 and under. There will be a $20 maximum charge per family attending. Take outs will be available for pick up. The dinner is being sponsored, in part, by the owners of The Red Dog Tavern and will be cooked and served by teachers, administrators, and staff of the Town of Webb School. Mark your calendars and come enjoy dinner. †

(There is also a home volleyball game that evening with the Lady Eskimos against Sauquoit Valley. The J.V. team will play at 6 p.m., followed by the Varsity girls at 7 p.m.)

The Webb Way Committee is busy planning upcoming events to recognize positive behaviors of students in grades Kindergarten through 12. The Webb Way encourages and rewards students for following the school’s motto of “Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Love to Learn, Achieve Excellence.”

Students are recognized by teachers, administrators and staff for following the Webb Way through written notes called Ice Cubes and Chain Links. Go Eskimo stamps are also awarded to elementary students which add up to prizes from the Webb Way store. Rewards are also given for no discipline referrals, as well as grade level rewards for meeting specific goals.

In the past students have received special lunches, food treats, school supply items, front of the lunch line passes, tickets for drawings, gift certificates, trips the KYAC during the school day, school wide fun activity periods, a trip to use the rope course and other activities at Adirondack Woodcraft Camp, miniature golf, a day at the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari, among other things.

If you have any ideas for student rewards or would like to be involved in this committee, please contact Mrs. Judy Ehrensbeck at (315) 369-3222 ext. 3114. †The funding for the rewards comes through community donations and the proceeds of two dinners held at the school during the school year.
