Taking pride in our communities

Tuesday, May 08, 2012 - Updated: 1:08 PM

Photos by Chrissy Prichard - Community Pride Day was held on Wednesday, May 2, throughout the towns of Webb, Inlet, Long Lake and Indian Lake. Folks young and old pitched in to pick up litter along the roadsides in their communities. Participants were given a t-shirt and a free lunch for their efforts. Thanks to everyone’s hard work, our towns are all fresh and clean, a great way to start off the coming warm-weather months.

Students from the Inlet Common School got together at the Inlet Town Hall before heading outside to clean up Arrowhead Park.

Lunch was served up at the Old Forge Fire Hall by Steve Uzdavinis, Felicity Davey, Laurie Barkauskas, Martha Denio, Nick Bankert.

Larry Murphy, John Gardner, Martha Denio, Carolyn Trimbach, Barb Murphy, and Fred Trimbach nearly filled the back of this truck with garbage.
