Photos by Chrissy Prichard - The Town of Webb School’s eighth grade has spent the last several weeks learning about the Civil War in many of their classes. On Thursday, May 17, the students headed outside for a variety of hands-on activities that allowed them to apply this knowledge and help it to sink in. Different aspects of the war were covered in social studies, English, band, home and careers, gym, and technology. Students learned about the food, recreation, clothing, and music of the era. They learned what it was like to be part of the war by writing letters to loved ones, learning how to march, and hearing about medical care on the front lines.
