Track teams open the spring sports season this Friday

Now that the spring break is over, it will be a slow beginning to the spring sports season as many of the other schools are off this week. After all of the teams have their photos done by Color Graphics this Thursday, April 12, the boys’ and girls’ track teams will open the season with a meet at Remsen on Friday, April 13.

The boys’ team will be looking for another championship and the girls team, after one of their best showings in the sectionals last year, are hoping to build on that. Remsen, however, is a very strong team and will be ready.

The baseball and softball teams will open their season with a league game at Poland on Monday, April 16 starting at 4:30 p.m. The golf team opens its season at Adirondack this Wednesday, April 18 in hope of a good start in defense of their league title from last year.

Eighth graders on the team are:  Melissa Rockhill, Chelby Simpson, Melanie Levi, Ally Cooper, Chloe Brosemer, Mara Gaffney and Madison Rice.  The seventh graders are: Laura Rubyor, Mickayla Abrial, Alex DiOrio, Sandie Delmarsh, Montana Burrell and Ashley Eisenhut.
