The Boonville Black River Canal Museum receives a grant for insulation

The Boonville Black River Canal Museum Board of Trustees would like to announce that they were the recipients of a grant to insulate the Mercantile Building.

The grant is from The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc., the Helen Ney Best Crouse Fund.  The grant money was used to insulate the ceiling in the Mercantile Building.  The work was done by H & K Insulation, Inc. from Holland Patent, NY.

The work was started in mid-December and was completed by Christmas.  Museum Board members and volunteers have stated that the insulation process went smoothly and they were impressed with the professionalism of the crew from H & K Insulation, Inc. as well as their work ethic.
