Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - Updated: 2:46 PM

Watertown area families are coming together this Earth Day at the 3rd Annual Black River Clean-up. You're invited to join us on Saturday, April 21 at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Watertown from 10 am to 1pm to clean-up the trails and river bank along the Black River.

The clean up is organized by the Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust, with support from the Watertown River Committee.  Participants should meet at the JB Wise parking lot on Black River Parkway in Watertown, NY.  Depending on the number of participants, we may clean up other park locations along the Black River on Saturday.

Families and children are encouraged to attend! Volunteers will be provided with gloves, garbage bags, water and snacks. All you need to do is bring yourself and a can-do attitude. Please RSVP by contacting Fawn Heins at 315.779.2239 or email tughilladmin@nnymail.com.
