Make it your Own! Help Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust Clear Trails!

Tuesday, June 05, 2012 - Updated: 10:11 AM

Show your community support and love for the outdoors at our newly acquired Joseph A. Blake, Jr. Wildlife Sanctuary property. The North Country Bird Club recently donated the historical property, located just a few miles from the city of Watertown. It contains over 130 acres of woods and wetlands, all to be enjoyed by you in the foreseeable future!

The Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust hopes to hold guided hikes for the public and educational programs for children, all free of charge, but before we can do so we need your help clearing the trails! A trail work day will be held on Saturday, June 9th from 10am to 3pm. The trail day is part of an Eagle Scout project by Erik Wollum, from Troop 2.

Families and children are encouraged to attend. Volunteers will be provided with gloves, water, and snacks. All you need to do is bring a smiling face and willingness to help!  For directions and to RSVP, please contact Kalie Gerenser at (315) 779-2239 or email tughilloutreach@nnymail.com.
