Due to last minute schedule changes the New York State Tug Hill Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Remsen has been cancelled. The Commission's next regularly scheduled meeting is for Wednesday, December 21st in Watertown.

The Tug Hill Commission will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Remsen Depot on Depot Street in Remsen, NY. Highlights of the meeting will include routine business of the Commission, latest updates of the Regional Economic Development Councils, and review of major projects and activities in the region. The public is welcome to attend and there will be a public comment period at the end of the meeting.

The Tug Hill Commission is a New York State agency that operates throughout the Tug Hill region, an area of over 2,000 square miles, about the size of the state of Delaware. The region runs from Utica, Rome, and Oneida Lake north to Lowville and Watertown, including most of the land and communities between Lake Ontario and the Adirondacks. The Commission has no regulatory authority. It provides assistance to Tug Hill communities and local groups on environmental and economic development projects and is governed by a board of local residents, appointed by the Governor and state legislature.
