PARP thanks its supporters

The Town of Webb UFSD PARP (Parents As Reading Partners) committee would like to thank the following groups and individuals for their assistance with this year’s program.  We had shortened the program due to the change in spring break, and several groups joined in our efforts to provide a great program for the students.

We appreciate the support of the Town of Webb UFSD administration, teachers, and custodial staff during this program.

Thank you to the Town of Webb PTC for providing snacks for the kick-off.

The students in Mr. Cunningham’s Speech and Theater class served as guest readers for our read-in. They did a great job and the students enjoyed hearing the stories.

We would like to thank Souvenir Village for providing hot cocoa mugs to the winners of the Design-a-Button contest.

We would like to thank Mrs. Diane Ritz for the cookies she provided for the second week prize.

Thanks to Mrs. Barb Getty and the staff at View for providing the venue to show Balto III for our finale.

Finally, we would like to thank the Community Scholarship Fund’s Tom Bernatchez Young Scholars Fund for purchasing the books which students received for participating during the whole session of PARP. The books for the final prize were purchased at the Old Forge Hardware Store, at a discount, which we greatly appreciate.

Family offer thanks for the kindness

Our mother, Judy Hitchcock, asked us to write this letter as a thank you to all that have sent cards of prayers and well wishes to her during this time of need.

Although this cancer diagnosis is very scary, our mother has been extremely strong and has made the decision to be motivated and aggressive against this disease. She is receiving her treatments at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida and is able to rest comfortably in between treatments at her home in Daytona Beach.

Thank you again so much to all of you and please keep our mother in your thoughts and prayers.
