Cottage thanks patrons, seeks help

Hello. My name is Hemmer Cottage and I would like to thank everyone who attended the 10th  anniversary celebration of my “new” address, 216 Park Avenue, on July 19.  I have been a long-time resident of the Town of Webb—my original walls go all the way back to 1931.

Mrs. Lani Ulrich and others present had many flattering things to say and they were all greatly appreciated. In her closing remarks, Mrs. Ulrich asked what needed to be done for Hemmer?

Well, after some thought the following immediate projects come to mind:

Window restoration: Approximate cost: $3,500

Window replacement: Approximate cost: $3,000

Future projects would include, but are not be limited to, porch repairs, roof repairs and other on-going maintenance projects yet to be identified.

Adirondack winters take their toll on all of us and at 81 years old, some things need to be replaced or repaired in order to enjoy another season or two.

If you would like to help make winter more comfortable, here is how you can help:

Send a special contribution for Hemmer maintenance payable to Town of Webb Historical Association, PO Box 513, Old Forge, NY 13420

Your donation will be greatly appreciated and is tax deductible.

I will keep everyone updated on the status of the window projects.

Thank you, again for all that has been done to keep me where I am.

Sincerely,

Hemmer Cottage
