Cards of thanks

AYSO thanks its supporters

The Old Forge AYSO Board would like to thank everyone who helped support the organization by purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets at the Columbus Day Soccer Tournaments.

Thanks to the Town of Webb School’s Varsity Club and Dave Leach for giving us the opportunity to sell tickets and also providing us with some excellent soccer games throughout the weekend.

A huge thanks to Friday and Saturday night raffle winners—Mark Johnston and George Patterson—who generously donated funds back to AYSO.

Congrats to the boys’ and girls’ Varsity Soccer teams, you all did a great job. It’s wonderful to see the level of skill and sportsmanship the Town of Webb athletes demonstrated and to know many of them began with AYSO, plAYSOccer.

Thanks for perfect Adirondack wedding

Our daughter was recently married at our home at Holiday Shores on Fourth Lake. We were thrilled that she and our son-in-law wanted to be married in the place we all love so much. Family and friends traveled from all over the U.S. to celebrate with us. For many, it was their first time in the Adirondacks. They too fell in love with this magical place—and vowed to come back.

Some very special people in Old Forge helped make this wedding possible. Linda and Megan at Over the Moon Salon made hair and makeup a fun, no-stress experience. Danny Murdock was professional and right on schedule with transportation. The venue at View was perfect. How lucky to have the magnificent watercolor exhibit as a backdrop for the reception.

Paul and Kathy Rivet from Five Corners Cafe were amazing people to work with. Old Forge is indeed lucky to have this very talented couple. They served beautifully presented and incredibly delicious food that true “foodies” would swoon over. Their wait staff were kind, highly competent young women any five star restaurant would be thrilled to hire.

And of course there was Kate Russell from Mountain Greenery who orchestrated the day like a symphony conductor. Our home looked lovely, Gould Hall at View was stunning, and the bridal flowers exquisite—every detail was perfect under Kate’s watchful eye. She is an amazingly talented woman and we are forever grateful to her for our wonderful memories of the perfect Adirondack wedding.
