The Central Adirondack Sailing Association held its fourth weekend of races of the 2013 season on Fourth Lake on July 27.
Seven Flying Scots competed in the race and CASA was happy to welcome a Hobie Cat to the race course as well.
The Zornow boat repeated their success from last week and captured two first place finishes. The Steigerwald/Jeffrey boat with Griff Williams as additional crew finished well on the day despite the lighter winds with a third and a fourth place for the day.
Tom McCabe with crew Carey and Meg Lorraine struggled in the first race with a sixth place, but came back strong in the second race to finish second.
Paul Wilsey with crew Butch Hartsig had the opposite results with a second place in the first race, and a seventh place in the second race.
Relative newcomers Chris Eichar and crew Al Frazier sailed well in both races, capturing a third and fifth place. In his summer debut as skipper, David Menz with crew Casey Parmely had a successful day with fourth and sixth place finishes. The Belknap boat had fifth and seventh place results.
Sailboat races will be held every Saturday at 3 p.m. on Fourth Lake until Aug. 17. All sailboats are welcome, especially sunfish.
