Spring Sports Awards
The Spring Sports Awards were presented to the Town Of Webb School athletes last Monday, June 5. Timothy Hulser, president of the Varsity Club, gave an opening address and welcomed the parents of friends of the athletes.
Kerrin Ehrensbeck, coach of the girls varsity softball team had the following individual awards to give to her team. The defensive player of the year for the team was Alex Sutherland. The offensive player of the year went to Dayna DeAngelo. DeAngelo was also picked to the all-star team. Britney Levi and
Sutherland made the honorable mention team.
The boys varsity track team had many individual awards due to winning the league championship again this year. Making the first team all-stars were Jack rivet, Sully Ulrich, Noah Lamphear, Tyler Kearns and Brendan Kelly. Dylan LaPorte, Nick Olsen and Tyler Rudolph were chosen to the honorable mention team. Kearns was the top scorer for the year for Leach’s team.
Don Allen, coach of the girls track team, also had many all-stars. The team MVP, Laura Levi, made the first team with Rachel Smith, Emily Greene and Emily Rudolph. Alexis Hollister was chosen to the honorable mention team.
John “Louie” Ehrensbeck, coach of the varsity golf team, praised his team for winning the Norther League Championship with a 12-1 record. Carter Kelly was the league medalist for the year and made the all-star team. Erik Lenci made the honorable mention team. The other scorers for the team were David Ehrensbeck, TJ Hulser, Lauren Beckingham, Thailer Ehrensbeck and Jimmy Connell.
The other sports award was the Babe Ruth Foundation Award which went to one boy and one girl. Laura Levi and Tyler Rudolph were the recipients.
No senior had enough letters to get the Master Sports Award this year.
That wraps up another fine year of sports activities at the Town of Webb School. We hope for great things for next year.
