One of the windows is taken out to be repaired.

The Church of the Lakes in Inlet is seeking to complete its restoration of eight Tiffany stained glass windows.
Installed when the church was completed in 1906, these windows are truly works of art and are in danger of being lost due to the age of the glass framing and the deterioration of the window structures.
In 2016, Phase 1, restoration of three windows on the front of the church was completed. Phase 2 will involve the restoration of the side and rear church windows at a projected cost of $17,950.
The restoration process involves the removal of the windows, sealing the openings and transportation to Adirondack Stained Glassworks.
The glassworks will clean, re-lead and re-set the windows with re-installation back into the Church of the Lakes.
Public donations have provided half of the project cost along with an award of a $5,000 grant from the Sacred Sites program of The New York Landmarks Conservancy. The grant was received with the assistance of CAP-21’s grant writing program. To actually receive the $5,000 grant, it is required that the church receive matching funds through public donations.
There are two options to contribute: mail donations to Church of the Lakes, P.O. Box 506, Inlet, NY 13360 or through crowd sourcing at the Adirondack Gives Foundation website, adirondackgives.org/campaigns/church-of-the-lakes-tiffany-window-restoration/.
